Fantastic fundraising!!!
13 10 2006The Amsterdam fundraising has got off to a flying start. Tiraj made £4.20 with her colours game at Hope Show. Elkie & Tracy-Anne proved to be marvellous salespeople making £57.72 on their bric and brac stall at Hope Show. Joe raided his piggy bank and donated all the contents to our appeal which totalled £9.00. Thomas and his mum Pauline raffled a beautiful harvest table decoration and raised £40.00. Still more!! Chloe ran the first bun bake last week which took £19.65. This makes a grand running total of £130.57!
Further fundraisers planned are: *Chloe raffling the huge teddy next week : tickets 50p. Winner to be drawn next Friday.
*Polly has made a book of holiday destinations and will be inviting you to guess where Teddy will be taking his holiday this year. Polly will be running this idea the first week after half-term.
*Christmas Hamper - Martine, Chloe’s Mum, is organising a Christmas hamper raffle to be drawn at the school’s Christmas plays. If you can donate one Christmas item for this hamper, please let her know.
*Christmas table decorations - Pauline, Thomas’s Mum, has offered to donate 50p from every table decoration sold at school. Thomas will be the salesperson approaching you for orders in a few weeks time.
*Christmas Web Ivory Catalogues - thank you for the orders placed. Helen, Michelle & Dominique aka Elkie’s, Jess & Sophie’s and Sarah’s mums are busily working at this for us, with the commission earned being donated to our appeal.
*Table top sale at Minsterley Village Hall : Saturday 28th October at 2.00 p.m. Donations would be appreciated in school for this and some help to run it please.
*There are many ideas being offered, so we have decided to perhaps run one a week so we don’t get into overload!!! However, don’t stop the ideas flowing! Perhaps you could post ideas on this blog.
*Dead easy, quick receipe idea from Mrs. Evans to make buns for our Friday sales. Melt one block of chocolate - approx. 225 gms -(cooking chocolate works well and is cheaper), 2 tablespoons golden syrup and 50 gms. margarine in a saucepan over a low heat. Mix in approx. 100 gms. cereal, spoon in cases and chill. They only take about 10 minutes!!  Other variations can be added. Currants, glace cherries and crushed plain biscuits work well too.Â
*Our thanks to everybody who making such a huge effort for this fundraising.
